Hello,My name is Darius Johnson. I worked at the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center for 3 years. In May of 2015 I received my B.B.A. in Accounting and decided to stay and work for the OKSBDC, while obtaining my M.B.A. I obtained my Masters degree on December 16, 2017. My duties for the OKSBDC included, auditing the monthly SBDC center invoices and working directly with center directors and host grant management staff to resolve any discrepancies in the monthly invoices and general ledgers or request additional documentation, processing the monthly invoices for payment in DPS accounts payable system, maintaining accounting records for all centers and State Office for use in preparing semi-annual and annual reports; working with the Assistant State Director to prepare reports to be submitted to SBA, reviewing all travel claims for accuracy before submitting to Office of Finance; tracking and monitoring network staff travel each month for State Director, building spreadsheets for use by SBDC centers for tracking expenditures and submitting monthly invoices to the State Office, auditing the monthly program invoice reports submitted by the SBDC centers in the statewide network, observing counseling sessions conducted by SBDC business advisors, preparing financial statements, financial projections, loan applications, and conducting research as directed by SBDC business advisors, using Fintel/Industrious CFO financial analysis software, using IBIS World market research software, and answering the telephone and directing clients to the nearest SBDC center.
