I have 12 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer with Airbus in the Landing Gear Centre of Competence. Currently, I work as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within the A350 Incremental Development team, leading a team of 7 Mechanical Design and Structural Analysis Engineers, external contractors and an external Landing Gear Vendor, focused on reinforcing the A350-1000 Main Landing Gear to support an increased aircraft Maximum Take-off Weight and redesigning the Retraction Actuator to improve retraction time performance. I am also a mechanical design technical specialist, providing technical support across the department and holding delegated approval signatory, across A350 and A380 Landing Gears.This project is now coming to its conclusion and I feel like its time for a new challenge. For personal and family reasons, I will be moving from Bristol to Galway in September and am looking for new opportunities in the Galway region.
