As a peer mentor, I'm responsible for completing daily tasks which include supervising students in the student lounge, answering any questions about the campus, and ensuring that every student that I come in contact with is making the best out of their experience at Suffolk County Community College. In addition to my daily tasks, I also participate in various on-campus events such as New Student Orientation and Open House. During these events I'm responsible for neatly setting up for the event, ushering the students and parents to their seats in the auditorium, as well as leading small groups of students into a computer lab and giving presentations about the college which keep them informed and prepare them for the upcoming semester and most importantly, help motivate them to be successful students at Suffolk County Community College.
