My job entailed meeting with youth ministers, principals, HOD's and teachers to promote Heartlines’ material which promoted having good values. I was also required to facilitate training, where I taught teachers, leaders and youth workers how to use the material that we gave them.Later I did the same work for their Diversity program called What's your story?

This report book would highlight the boy's behaviour during the day and any observations, news or incidents that occurred each day.Childcare workers were also expected to cook for the boys on the weekends and ensure that the boys were entertained - whether the weekly movie night or a monthly Saturday morning activity was arranged.Childcare workers were also encouraged to facilitate the settling in of the volunteers students who helped out over a 6 or nine month period. These students were often international pedagogic students from either Germany or the Netherlands.
