Darrell Collins has over 20 years of experience in the medical field and over 10 years as a sleep technician, sleep consultant, sleep center manager and a long-time educator. He speaks in Oklahoma and Texas on the impact of sleep and health at schools, universities, corporate wellness programs, civic organizations, health fairs and community events. Darrell serves as CEO and President of the Board of Directors for Great Plains Sleep Specialist, Inc., a Cherokee Nation TERO vender and one of the largest sleep lab management companies in Oklahoma. He has set up multiple sleep centers disorder centers, worked closely with several board-certified sleep specialist, physicians and hospital administrators in establishing billing, marketing, workflows, policies, procedures, protocols and accreditation as well as budgetary and technical oversight.Previous experience:After serving 8 years in the Military as Communications Specialist, Darrell began his career in health care as a Nationally Registered Paramedic. During his tenure as a Paramedic, he was a Lead Supervisor, Training Coordinator, Q.A. Office Director as well as holding instructor credentials and consulting across the United States and Oklahoma as an BCLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, 12 Lead EKG Instructor. During that time, he served on a panel for the early detection of myocardial infarction and pre-hospital administration of a National Thrombolytic Study.Current memberships include: American Academy of Sleep Technicians (AAST), American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Heart Association (AHA)
