I have over 20 years of hands on telecommunications engineering, design and maintenance experience. Fast track promotion through positions of increased responsibility. Initial hands on responsibility for splicing/activation of new plant, repair of hard line plant, repair of active/passive equipment, and sweeping/balancing to maintain regulatory specifications. Further responsibility for design/drafting of plant extensions, new subdivisions, and multiple dwelling units. Coordinate joint underground and aerial construction with utilities. Oversee construction activities and provide on call service for system upgrade outages and customer complaints. Provide quality control and inspection of outside contractors: monitor installations, troubleshoot nodes, and approve node areas for payment.. My current duties include development of route planning, strand mapping, as-built mapping, facility inventory, address verification, and base map procedures and products. I prepare and expedite aerial and underground permit requests to Wisconsin Electric, WISDOT, DNR, railroads, municipalities, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. I also conduct cost analyses and design telecommunications plant extensions for single-family homes, multiple dwelling units, and subdivisions.
