I’m very amicable and keen to develop new skills as my career in Finance progresses. I worked as an Accounts Receivable Assistant for Allsave in Basingstoke for 8 years. This involved processing monthly orders from our clients and then sending the subsequent invoices to them. I also ran bank reconciliations, processed credit note requests and sent out statement of accounts, as well as liaising directly with external customers on a daily basis.Sodexo then acquired Allsave in 2016, which is when I transferred to their Camberley office. Upon arrival at Sodexo, I was tasked with overseeing the Order Process for a number of their biggest clients, as well as processing any credit note requests. This involved me gaining Home Office clearance in order to oversee their contract with the Ministry of Defence. This also gave me an insight into Account Management, liaising with contacts at some of Sodexo's biggest clients in order to resolve any queries they made us aware of. Unfortunately the Camberley office closed in November 2020, upon which I took redundancy.In April 2021 I started my new role as an O2C Associate (Accounts Receivable) for Merlin Entertainments. I worked on the US sales ledger which involved credit control, processing billing files, downloading cash files, posting payments and raising journals where required. I worked closely with our internal and external stakeholders in the US on a daily basis.In May 2023, I decided I needed a new challenge so left O2C and joined the Capital Accounting Dept. at Merlin as a Financial Assistant. My main roles include setting up CAPEX and OPEX projects, posting timesheet, reclass and expense journals, ensuring our asset descriptions are in line with audit requirements and overseeing our process improvements using Kanban.I started my CIMA studies in January 2023 and completed the Certificate level in February 2024.Away from work I'm a huge fan of sports. Football, golf and skiing being my favourites. Whilst at Sodexo I formed a 5-a-side football team and arranged for us to join a local league, it was great fun and a good way to get to know my colleagues. I'm also really into movies, blockbusters from the 80's and 90's are my personal favourites. During lockdown I decided to learn how to play electric guitar, it's something I've always wanted to do and I thought this was the perfect time to give it a go.
