I love helping people.Whether it's making a feature better meet the needs of the people using it, making a UI more intuitive and accessible, making the build and deployment go faster for my coworkers, improving API documentation and help text, and everything in between and beyond. Being able to effect change in a way that's positive for the people making or using a product is what makes a place right for me.Over the course of my career I've been involved with nearly every facet of application development. I've worked on legacy servers hidden from clients by multiple layers of APIs, I've written and optmized SQL queries in PHP applications. I've advocated for and implemented automated testing, build, and deployment pipelines. I've optmized existing pipelines, cutting the time from commit to deployable by 50%. I've moved teams away from using phyiscal hardware directly to using virtualized infrastructure. I've been on-call and have striven to make it as painless as possible. The last several years I've spent in operations focused roles and now I'm looking to get back into application development.
