Hardware platforms maintained include Cisco Ethernet switches, Solarwinds servers, Spectrum network monitoring system, and over 1400 Cisco VPN routers ranging from 3700 series to 7600 series. Responsible for troubleshooting WAN technologies and resolving IPSEC over GRE VPN tunneling issues. Applies advanced problem solving skills to assist in network design and the analysis of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. Routinely coordinates with AF base communication personnel to resolve voice, data, and video communication issues. Manages the AF Medical Gateway VPN. Utilizes software tools such as the Cisco CLI, NetQoS, and Solarwinds network configuration manager to ensure that data networks are monitored and equipment is properly installed and configured. Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and availability of a Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster consisting of five servers supporting twelve Air Force installations.
