Recruited as Operations Manager,Reporting directly to the General Manager. Dar Al Riyadh Consultants (DAR) is a leading Engineering Consulting Company in Saudi Arabia. Established in 1975, DAR has proven expertise in conceptual & detailed design, project management and supervision of infrastructure & industrial projects. Over the years, the company has expanded considerably and now employs over 1200 engineering and support staff.Key contributions:• Full oversight and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Client Support Services, liaising with the Program Managers, Project Directors, project stakeholders, and clients.• Composed and issued the DAR Processes and Procedures Manual and the Construction Project Site Services Manual, and implemented them system-wide.• Reorganized DAR internal information and data collection processes from an Operations point of view, for analysis of trends allowing for predictive and effective decision making.

Recruited as Principal Project Design Manager, to oversee the building designs for the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces Base (QENFB) in the role of PMC. This new Naval Base includes 200+ buildings with a total GFA of 630,000 m2 on a 4+ km2 man-made island, with an estimated cost of $US 24.7 B. The QENFB includes facilities for command and control, perimeter and interior security design, special forces command, naval and flotilla commands, training areas, medical facilities, aviation, shooting ranges, specialist dive training, coastal and land defence, naval port quay ways and ship docks, ammunitions storage, and recreation & accommodation facilities for 5,000 + staff. Key Contributions:• Developing strategy on the buildings package and assessing scope gaps and interfacing challenges between the QENFB project development packages (there are 7 packages to interface and coordinate). • Full oversight of the building and infrastructure design consultants in a PMC role, liaising directly with the stakeholders and client.• Managing the information gathering from the end users. This involved extensive workshops with the end users to identify purpose and functionality of the different facilities and identifying areas where multiple end users would operate to ensure alignment of purposes and functions.

Recruited as Project Director for the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Member of the Hospital Executive Committe. Duties included setting up the management systems, policies and procedures, administration of budgeting and payments, and direct supervision of all activities of the onsite construction management teams and the construction contractors. Project Value US$ 1.4 Billion.Project Director, for onsite construction management of the Dresser-Rand Production and Assembly Facilities in Dammam 2nd Industrial City. The factory grounds and facilities cover 78,000 m2 of area, built to deliver steam turbines and compressors for the petrochemical industry. Additionally, various Saudi Aramco Oil and Gas Projects.• Responsibilities included setting up the project management systems, policies, processes, and direct supervision of all the activities of the onsite construction management teams, and administration of budgets and payments the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center.• Led the onsite team and committee that rewrote the Mustang HDP Site Construction Management Systems Manual. Implemented the Construction Management System on the Dresser-Rand site, and subsequently obtained ISO 9001-2008 Certification, a first for a Mustang HDP Construction Site.
