Project Manager for Network Infrastructure.

Manages network installation programs/projects for Census Bureau local offices located across the US. Understands and executes program/project task and documentation requirements. Represent Unisys at each site installation and de-installation. Engineered and Implemented cost effective, reliable Data, TDM voice, and VoIP converged network solutions for the internal enterprise infrastructure across US, Caribbean/Latin America and European sites. Appointed as Project Lead for major upgrade of services from DS3 to OC3 (Sonet) technology in US. Managed Circuit Carrier Vendor timelines, internal engineering and technical staff for successful completion of upgrade, minimizing downtime with workflow breakdown documentation and cost due to parallel running networks. Delivered project related services and infrastructure despite challenging timeframes for several large office moves to avoid thousands in holdover rental charges. Issues included carrier management working with technicians and engineering to get equipment moved over weekends, up and operational in a limited timeframe. Worked as Project Management lead for new installations in Caribbean/Latin America region. Managed local engineers and technicians at new site to “right” size the network installation. Ordered equipment, circuits (frame relay, T1, DS3, E1, E3), and managed timeframe for installation.Acted as WAN Engineering site prime for Richardson. Managed all IT WAN installations for the Richardson Campus. Transitioned redundant Core Network services as building leases expired.Focused on strategic cost reduction activities, with an immediate return on in year savings. Helped to meet the Network Services target for a 6.3 M yearly reduction in the overall I. S. circuit budget.Managed design and installation of Disaster Recovery network to third party vendor. Acted as liaison for Disaster Recovery, between Application groups, Network engineering and third party vendor during yearly tests of Disaster Recovery services.Worked as Change Management lead for Network Services. Technical approver of internal changes. Work with business units to coordinate timing of maintenance on our network infrastructure.

Implemented and provided operational support of the R&D Data Network Infrastructure.Team lead for engineering and design of network installation in new R&D/Nortel Campus. Install new network. Move network and servers to new campus in 1992.Engineered, implemented and supported Nortel’s Local Area Network in Richardson Campus. Part of on call rotation team to support LAN.Managed moves, adds, changes of network and computers.
