Youth Manager ensures the overall success of the Business & Career Solutions Center. S/he will act as a liaison between Business & Career Solutions Centers’ teams and the NLWC Management Team. The Youth Manager is responsible for implementing all state and local policies, customer flow processes, and service delivery standards of Youth customers and participants; and, ensuring that all identified Youth outcomes are achieved.The Youth Manager is a member of NLWC’s Management Team. The Youth Manager specifically provides recommendations on processes which best facilitate delivery of Youth services. The primary goal of the Youth Manager is to aid B&CSC teams as they assist Youth customers to secure employment in occupation areas and at wage rates leading to self-sufficiency. This manager ensures that B&CSC staff are developing Individual Service Strategies/Individual Employment Plans, strategies, and training accounts to guide the Youth customer in determining appropriate employment and training options in accordance with established policies and procedures.The vision for this position is to maximize our investment in young people, youth programming, and the workforce development system. All Business & Career Solutions team members are expected to share their expertise and assist with other functions or perform additional tasks as needed.

The DeltaLINC Transition Coach provides relevant wrap around services to participants who are committed to developing their personal, leadership, and employability skills to ensure positive post-secondary experiences. Coaches act as mentor, cheerleader, motivator, etc. to students seeking their high school equivalency. Coaches help students identify their barriers and come up with solutions for overcoming those barriers. Coaches also help students set goals for themselves, both short-term and long-term, and revisit those goals frequently to help students see the progress being made.
