Hi, I am Darrell Steele, an energetic and enthusiastic person. I always strive to be the best I can within any role I work in.I have been involved in lighting in one way or another since 1995. I have been working in Emergency Lighting specifically since 1999. I have worked in many roles including Sales (OEM & Specification), Internal Sales, Manufacturing including purchasing, MRP control, Facility Manager, Operations Manager and my most recent role as Project Manager.I would say that I enjoy what I do, Emergency Lighting is where my forte lies. I am very much driven by compliance when I design and always try to educate what Compliance actually means to our clients. I understand that Luminaire placement and luminaire selection is key to good design. I have worked on many large projects, such as: Tower Blocks for housing associations, Many NHS projects and new builds incorporating the HTM requirements in addition to BS5266-1. Large Distribution warehouses, manufacturing facilities. I always undertake a site survey where I can prior to design, ensuring that I pick up all POE (points of Emphasis) and any high risk task areas that require additional illuminance, such as Work Shops or Plant rooms etc.I will meet with clients to discuss their current system and their requirements moving forward to make sure I provide exactly what they want.In addition I attend pre-installation meetings with nominated installing contractors ensuring a full understanding of system requirements such as cabling and networking etc.Overall, I am a sound investment who works hard and more often than not, works out of hours where required and will always ensure the client/end user fully understands the requirements of emergency lighting and how that works with their own risk assessments.I have gained many skills during this journey, AutoCad, Relux, MRP Control, Purchasing, Management Skills, customer integration, team work not to mention all of the courses along the way such as: Health and Safety, Asbestos Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, Cyber Essentials, First Aid etc.
