Project manager working with the Draught technical team. Current projects include:Asahi Mobile Bars - Locating bars in trade, validating these bars with sales, tracking movements.Tank beer sites - Involved with the day to day management of the tank beer sites from technical side.Service providers - managing the relationships between service providers and Asahi Uk. Day to day point of contact, managing performance, customer complaints and issues.Supporting other management team members with projects, supporting the Draught operations Executives.

In June 2016 I was promoted into the new role of RTC (Regional Technical Controller) which involved the running of a team eight of BQTs (Beer Quality Technicians) covering an area from Land’s End up into the Midlands including South Wales and Birmingham/Wolverhampton. This role initially also included doing site surveys but has evolved into managing projects, monitoring surveys carried out by service providers, performance management, cross department communication with regards projects and initiatives, monitoring costs and spending time in trade with the BQTs to assess their abilities/weaknesses and strengths. With the Pandemic and furlough, I was also involved with the destruction of beer and doing service and install work and more recently asset checks across my team’s area to assist the business.

This role was based around the maintenance of dispense equipment across various trade divisions (free-trade, Marston’s managed and many more). More recently it also involved small installs and projects such as brand updates, audits and asset checks. There wasn’t a call centre and all the accounts contacted you directly, I was responsible for managing all calls, prioritising the calls and forwarding to a service provider if I could not respond within SLA. The role also involved carrying out quality checks on products and advising customers if the product doesn’t pass the checks, this needs diplomacy and tact and an understanding how a customer will react. Training both 1:1 and group to deliver the BII ABCQ cask and keg training was also part of the role where I trained groups of staff on site. The role also involved carrying out code of practise checks to ensure the dispense systems are up to standard and routine maintenance of dispense equipment. The role required good time management skills, good personal skills the ability to work alone but also be part of a team to meet targets and deadlines.

This role was based around the installation and maintenance of beer dispensing equipment into outlets across a large area. Ensuring equipment was installed correctly and in accordance with current legislation, and that the work met the customer’s requirements. Customer training both 1:1 and group was also a key part of the role. Responsible for meeting personal targets. In addition to this core role as described above I also had the following roles during my employment with Whitbread/ABInbev:Jan 2006 - Feb 2007 Secondment as Area Manager. Responsible for managing a team of fourteen technicians in the Southwest, the tasks included controlling holidays, the out of hours rota, managing sickness and liaising with the planning office to ensure all work was planned accordingly. I was also responsible for carrying out team meetings and monthly reviews with contractors. Jan 2004 - Aug 2010 H&S Rep. This role was responsible for all the training of the team and keeping records and managing the PPE and power tool testing.Sept 1997 - Apr 2000 Dispense Executive. Responsible for carrying out surveys in outlets to determine the correct equipment required to dispense quality products. Tasked with increasing profits, volumes and product quality through removal of under used equipment and positioning of dispense equipment in the prime position on the bar. Or new installations by only installing what was needed. Communicate with customers, internally/externally to achieve results.Jan1995 - Sept 1997 International Brands Quality Standards Advisor. Boddingtons was launched as a global brand and I looked after Oman, Dubai, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. Responsible for training suppliers on installation and dispense standards & fault finding, also responsible for training staff in the outlets on the dispense techniques, product history and selling the brand. This was achieved through developing a training programme. The role was managed by both personal visits and through regular contact.
