Additional job roles outside of workAugust 2009 to February 2014 Fire Fighter, Part time.This was a part time role with Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. I had a commitment for evening and weekend cover where I had to be within four minutes of the station. During my time with the fire service, I qualified as a competent fire fighter, breathing apparatus team leader, FPOS fire fighter (IHCD FPOS Intermediate with additional skills around RTCs) and I passed my HGV test. I was also going through my training to be a crew manager to take the appliance out as officer in charge. I was also involved with local groups such as Guides/Scouts and school groups who would go to the station for a tour and talk about the fire service.June 2005 to July 2008 Community First Responder. Volunteer role.This was a volunteer role with South Central Ambulance Service where I was trained to respond to medical emergencies within the local community such as heart attacks, severe bleeding, breathing difficulties and strokes. It involved being on call evenings and weekends, I also always carried a large medical kit in the car, this kit included Oxygen and a defibrillator. This allowed me to respond to calls outside of my on-call hours, being contacted by the control room. This role involved a continual training programme and six-monthly requalification in the use of the oxygen/defibrillator and aspirin protocols. Another part of the role was raising awareness of the scheme at local events through talking to people and training people in basic CPR also by providing first aid cover at local events

There wasn’t a call centre and all the accounts contacted you directly, I was responsible for managing all calls, prioritising the calls and forwarding to a service provider if I could not respond within SLA. The role also involved carrying out quality checks on products and advising customers if the product doesn’t pass the checks, this needs diplomacy and tact and an understanding how a customer will react. Training both 1:1 and group to deliver the BII ABCQ cask and keg training was also part of the role where I trained groups of staff on site. The role also involved carrying out code of practise checks to ensure the dispense systems are up to standard and routine maintenance of dispense equipment. The role required good time management skills, good personal skills the ability to work alone but also be part of a team to meet targets and deadlines. -

Boddingtons was launched as a global brand and I looked after Oman, Dubai, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. Responsible for training suppliers on installation and dispense standards & fault finding, also responsible for training staff in the outlets on the dispense techniques, product history and selling the brand. This was achieved through developing a training programme. The role was managed by both personal visits and through regular contact.
