I have enjoyed two successful career paths. The first was with the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1997. I began as an enlisted airman where I was trained as an Imagery Interpretation Specialist, identifying what was on film from satellites, reconnaissance aircraft, and hand-held imagery. In 1984, after graduating from the University of Kentucky with High Distinction and commissioned as a 2Lt I became a Missile Launch Officer in the Minuteman Missile System. As a Launch Officer, I commanded all operations for 10 Nuclear missiles. I was also an Academic Classroom Instructor providing training on Nuclear Operations to new officers. I earned an MBA from the University of North Dakota while serving as a Launch Officer. During the final five years of my military career, I graduated from The Air Force Institute of Technology "Education With Industry" program (trained with Allison Engine Company/Rolls Royce) and became a Government Contracting Officer negotiating large contracts in support of numerous Air Force programs including the F-15, F-16, and Special Operations. During my career I was entrusted with our Nation's most sensitive information, with a Top Secret SIOP-ESI security clearance.After retiring as a Major in 1997, I became a Licensed Health Care Administrator in Ohio. I have served as Chief Executive Officer in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospice Organizations and Assisted Living. Responsibilities are similar to a small hospital administrator; all operations (business planning, regulatory compliance, financial reporting/analysis, Human Resources, etc.), marketing, facilities management, customer service, housekeeping and dietary services. My operations have consistently been above average, earning numerous operational and quality awards. My last healthcare job was as the Executive Director for Kindred Hospice, providing Dayton and Southwest Ohio patients with palliative care in their time of need.In 2020 I semi-retired and now work part time for the U. S. Army as a Test Administrator.I enjoy biking and camping with my wife, and spending time on our boat.
