Senior Engineering Technologist
Currento Collaborates with the engineering team to formulate and implement techniques and processes required to assess and report electronic system performance.o Works closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure collected data is repeatable and in accordance with specifications.o Performs testing and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical hardware used for space science research, spacecraft instrumentation, avionics, and electronics using a variety of test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and electronic loads.o Utilizes Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW) and Integrated Test and Operations System (ITOS) software to operate electronic ground support equipment in support of testing flight computer hardware and software.o Develops and oversees procedures for various stress and electromagnetic interference testing to verify hardware meets or exceeds the client’s parameters and expectations while providing a systematic outline of performance and vulnerabilities discovered throughout the testing process.o Responsible for the inventory and status of over 150 pieces of calibrated test equipment; ensuring various types of equipment is readily available for development and testing of flight hardware.o Conducts meetings with clients to confirm they understand all testing considerations allowing an open dialogue for questions, comments, and concerns of hardware development and testing.
