Through a true team effort we called The Hive (hive-mind):-Co-Developed a Comptroller/Tech team called The Hive, which uses a hive-mind approach to crowdsource problem-solving-Automated the mapping packets valuation system by migrating from paper packets to paperless PDFs and using Macro Scheduler Pro for data entry-Built new worksheets for Market Adjustments, and investigated the possibility of migrating the process into Power BI or Tableau-Migrated the county to live-interactive Excel using Power Query driven by SQL and Power BI and Tableau dashboards to give interactive reporting to the appraiser that they can use live from the field-Amassed a SQL and Macro code-base libraries-Documented processes and wrote new/updated policy and procedure documentation-Leveraged tact and patience to communicate with the members of the office and help ease their transition to new digital ways of handling data-Analysis of data, processes, and legislative changes to problem solve, research and automate data and reporting

-Streamlined the data-heavy position into automated Power Query reports to replace the hand-typed Excel sheets used by previous appraisers-Mapped all Cell Towers and Coffee Huts for live in the field real-time reporting and accessing of the relevant data-Visited and revalued all Cell Towers in 2022, including a project to import FCC database data into our system for more accurate details on the towers-Re-aligned all shared Personal Property exemptions, removing errors, including over-under exempt properties-Ran reporting to analyze which properties were likely to never exceed the limits of a new exemption (63-602KK updated to $250,000 as of 01/01/2022) and deactivated accounts that fell significantly under the exemption amount-Working with the new Personal Property appraiser to reduce the number of accounts for leasing companies by streamlining them into major cities instead of having an account for each address

-Migrated from paper-driven processes to a paperless appraisal process-Built new Power Query reports and imported them as CSVs into Google Maps for real-time live data while in the field-Created Land-Rate maps in Google Earth to replace the old process of hand-drawing land rates on printed maps-Later, as Comptroller, replaced this Google Earth mapping with a live, real-time, Power BI report for all county land rates-Cleaned the permit reporting and automated the systematic reports with conditional formatting and sorting for more important permits first-Deactivated 3,000+ permits which were over ten years old and no longer valid
