I am a serial entrepreneur. I have experience with bootstrapping (building a company with no outside investment or financing) and more traditional methods of startup, including working with banks and investors, and venture capital companies. I'm currently actively involved as a partner in several successful entities. I have a difficult time turning off the business side of my mind. Everywhere I go I find myself thinking about how some business can improve their logistics and what systems could be utilized to make their operation more efficient.I give whatever project I'm working on 100% and expect 100% out of the people I'm working with. I love having partners that share my vision and I always appreciate differences in opinion and/or perspective from partners that I respect. There are a few business principals that I believe wholeheartedly in:- Whatever happens to us today is a direct result of decisions we made yesterday (figuratively)- Systems are the key to efficiency and take the guesswork out of jobs- Value is ultimately determined more by experience than price- You fail only when you stop learning (and subsequently growing)- Doing something the accepted way is rarely the BEST way- Focus on the tail when your competitors are occupied with the head- When you find someone exceptional, partner with themI definitely have a high propensity for risk. However, I don't leave things to chance. When I take a risk, I know exactly what I'm risking and why. I know what the best case and worse case outcomes could be. I take risks each and every day. However, I don't gamble. Gambling is for people that aren't confident enough to win without luck.I have a deep love for collecting. My collecting interest, includes numismatics, shipwreck artifacts, trading cards, comics, and fine art. I am the art collector known as AlphaTrilogy and I have amassed a world class collection of fine art photography. My loves are family, work, collecting, taking care of land, and adventurous travel. If you understand these things, than you understand me.
