At the building I am at currently, The BAS is what I concentrate on, however, I also have other skills such as a journeyman's electrical license and a universal CFC certificate. I came up thought the electrical trade for for 18 years then moved to the automation field in May of 2002 where I spent 6 years working on BAS systems and installing them. AT present I maintain a 3rd grade stationary engineers license and am look to get to a first grade.

Here at 1001 I have the awesome opportunity to work with 1410 1600's FEC's vav box controls program and over 125 AHU's and just as many VFD's. I also program supervisory controllers, diagnose equipment and install peripheral equipment and maintain change and calibrate all building equipment along the BAS axis. I work with a cloud based GENEA A.C.S. and a Siemens DEMAND FLOW system. which I have worked with to maximize plant efficiency by refining the process to save 500kw. and am currently working on an automatic static reset to create demand flow for the AHU's also. at the same time addressing other issues as they arise. I am also an operator when needed. and work with P2P platform for mine and my coworkers R&M needs. and assist them with VAV diagnosis.

At this position I was able to run the automation systems ins 5 Mental health and clinical facilities while running the day to day operations of my building which was 6 stories and 111,000 square ft. I also worked with 3 automation contractors and 1 mechanical contractor along with RLB engineering firm. I did the chiller electrical work. reprogrammed both machines to save money. I was able to adjust pump speeds to maximize energy efficiencies. I also ran the electrical retrofits and mechanical retrofit operations. Assisted project managers when asked to sort out and solve problems for the project, even those outside my 111,000 sq/ft .

AT this position I was able to use my electrical skills to learn and hone my automation skills installing over 100 VFD's ABB, JCI ,YASKAWA and some SQUARE D altavar. and TOSHIBA. At Lange mechanical I also was the automation Foreman on several large projects, And later was asked to run the special projects as well . I was an on call technician monitoring over 50 properties. I learned complex programming on Metasys Systems, NAE, PMI ,companion, and N30 supervisory systems. I learned how to manage project cost. and labor and Take-off. I ran a service truck and worked directly with mechanics in chiller change outs making the terminations, remote programs, and adding local controls. I was able to communicate effectively with customers from porters to directors to affect a positive out come. Did Mechanical work when needed. Installed peripheral and line control equipment.It was also here where I earned my Stationary 3rd grade license.

At this position I was able to work in the manufacturing industry grocery retail and distribution. in which I learned to do control work wire to wire. this work was done at the Igloo Corp. and HEB, Kroger mostly refrigeration ,commercial kitchens. Including the restaurant. I did for a friend shortly before this employment. I learned how to run projects and at the end of the employment trained my replacement. I did several ,over 800 amp, hot taps. This was the second time I was employed at Central electric. More experience and companies such as TAG electric and C1D1 work are available upon request.
