About Darrell Tung

As an award-winning sound designer, my expertise is production and post-production audio, dialog editing, Foley, and mixing. I'm certified in video-game sound design and have over 4 years of experience with multiple audio roles in diverse projects ranging from shorts, to videos, TV series, films, and video games. I have extensive knowledge of Wwise and Unreal Editor and am proficient with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Sony Vegas, and Sound Forge. My love of video games began at age 2, playing Space Invaders on my dad's computer. By the time I was 8, my ears were being developed through music, igniting a sincere passion for audio and a lifelong exploration of sound that led me to study music and recording and launch my career in sound design. As an avid gamer, my dream is to marry my passions for audio and gaming by securing a sound design position in the video game industry to push the boundaries of sound and create exciting new audio experiences for players.My superpower is a highly developed musician's ear that's capable of detecting stray frequencies even dogs miss. I enjoy exploring the sounds of different objects, finding ways to incorporate new sounds into my work, and analyzing movie and video game audio for inspiration.
