I started my career in hospitality through a training centre in Shrewsbury linked to Radbrook Catering College. I progressed to trainee management at Hawkstone Park Hotel owned at the time by Sandy Lyle. Moving on from there to THF in Stratford upon Avon the Shakespeare Hotel. Working in similar management roles across all departments I had a career change in 2000 when I decided to train as a hairdresser and going on to open my own salon A Cut Above. 2008 I added the Boars Head Hotel 4 star Aa rated Restaurant, Bar & Rooms. I started Arabrica a gift shop & confectioners and finally also took on the busy Post Office and held the Sub Postmaster role running it from the rear of the Boars Head it what is now the games room.I closed the salon in 2016 at the same time selling the Post Office leaving me more time gor myself and the Boars Head. 2020 brought us the pandemic and at that point I decided to change my business model from a pub that was open to the public to the Holiday pub it is now successful marketed by Sykes Cottages.
