Following a childhood dream, I enrolled as a mature age student and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Murdoch University, which resulted in me becoming a School Teacher here in Perth. During my degree I began working as an Education Assistant and then as a Relief Teacher. My professional career prior to this exciting change provided me with 18 years’ experience working with legislation, regulations, processes and procedures throughout local, state and commonwealth government. These valuable years enabled me to become a specialist in auditing, compliance and assurance roles across both private and public sectors. Working for 7 years on a mega project in the Oil and Gas industry, I gained valuable experience and skills on how to deal with an ever-changing economy, meeting schedules and maintaining compliance. Over the past 9 years, I have worked in management and supervisory roles, where I was able to develop management and staff supervision skills in the private sector and local government departments. My passion outside of work as an elite athlete inspired me to start a small coaching business in 2014, where I continue to keep highly motivated and active in the community assisting individuals, teams and schools with athletics coaching. My focus now as an educator, mentor and coach is firmly set on sharing my knowledge and experience with the new and next generations of athletes and children!
