Implementation Lead
Roster Implementation Specialist
Roster Implementation Specialist Virgin Care (HCRG Care Group as of Dec 2021) December 2018 - presentIn my current role our team has been tasked with implementing 278 services on HealthRoster nationwide, a target we reached in April 2022. As I have been involved in this project from the early stages I have been heavily involved in the development of a change process, which has been instrumental in ensuring we are able to successfully move services from Implementation to “Business as Usual”. I have enjoyed the variety of the services I have worked with - which has ranged from Urgent Care Centres to HM Prisons Healthcare Services - as they have allowed me to use lessons learned to strengthen the implementation process as we move forward. As we have progressed through the project I have been assigned areas of support which have required me to work closely with Managing Directors and Operational Leads to ensure that Business Units across four different regions are using their rosters effectively and using reporting to ensure that KPIs are met within each service. As with earlier roles, I have taken the lead on ensuring that the face of the team is represented online on our staff intranet; creating user guides and quick reference videos, and advertising upcoming workshops and drop in sessions which we regularly provide for staff. Due to this being the smallest team I have worked for in my career, but with a similar sized workforce to support, I have been able to take on a much wider range of responsibilities, which I have enjoyed immensely.
Workforce Management Specialist
I formed part of the support team of the eRoster project, where my duties included holding onsite training sessions with nursing, medical, and clerical staff, from Support Workers to Service Directors; maintaining contact with trainees via telephone and email; and updating the staff intranet with user guides and staff communications, to ensure that support available to staff outside of office hours. Other duties included; acting as the first line of support for all queries from existing users, via the eRoster Support email inbox or over the telephone, and supporting the payroll extraction process at the end of each pay period.
Healthroster System Administrator
Key role in successful migration to HealthRoster v.10.- Involved in planning for project from Data Validation stage.- Undertook full product testing throughout all three Trial Lab phases.- Organised training schedule which helped staff using earlier version of the software to acclimatise to new software, prior to it's introduction.- Produced training materials and presentations on which the training was based.- Presented to 10-20 trainees in classroom environment, and also ran a number of one-to-one sessions.- Prepared trust for seven day "downtime" period- Took part in all necessary configurations to software, to ensure it was fully operational for "Go Live". Following the migration to v10, I have assumed system administrator duties but have focused mainly on a training programme for new and existing users. These have consisted of group classroom sessions and one-to one training. I have prepared training materials including presentations and user guides, and use checklists to ensure the structure of the sessions and to document staff development. I have represented my team in various discussions with senior management to further the scope of the HealthRoster project, and have represented the trust at Allocate User Group meetings. I am currently working on the next stage of the the project, involving the self-booking of bank shifts via Employee Online. This would vastly reduce the strain on our bank office, and is sure to have a significant positive impact on our current bank and agency expenditure. Simultaneously, I am with multiple directorates to implement the use of autoroster throught our live units.
