Role and Responsibilities:Financial and management accounting (incl budget and cash flow statements) for a £35 million turnover business, employing over 350 people.Review of monthly management accounts, and presenting the accounts to the board of directors, including appropriate analysis or comments of expenditure.Creating, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive management reporting system, using spreadsheets, pivot tables and writing bespoke reports to interrogate company's financial databases using Crystal Reporting software.Organising/reviewing of insurance coverManage, support and develop staff within the HR, Finance, IT and Administration teams. Crystal Reports is an important, and integral, decision making tool, and is relied upon through-out the organisation.Upgrading the entire organisation's primary IT system. Overcoming resistance to the change, and working closely with the software supplier during the changeover period.Negotiating the re-financing of £3½ million loan and £1 million overdraft facility. Overseeing the change-over of banks, and implementing the new banking system, HSBCnet.Creating a margin analysis system that shows on a weekly basis the level of Gross Profit, and Gross Profit percentage, for each Product Group. Reliance of the Margin Analysis was achieved by agreeing the reported Margins to the monthly management accounts. The Margin Analysis reporting allows to forecast the monthly result.

Providing support to the accounts team, and assisting the managing director with the day-to-day financial running of the business. Completing all stages of audit, from planning stage to completion of the financial statements. Reviewing audit files, and presenting my files to the audit partner. Preparing tax returns for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.Supervision of audit activity, including people management.Preparing all tax year-end forms, including P35's and P11d's.Maintaining the IT network within the organisation, including planning and implementing upgrades.
