I started in the Fire & Security Industry as an apprentice in 1989. I progressed through all the engineering ranks becoming the Head of Engineering. I then accelerated further in to Service Management where I was recognised through my hard work & ethics to become Branch Manager of one of the largest privately owned national companies. My experience then took me further becoming an Operations Manager of a global corporate company, where I served over ten years making significant changes to departments over several branches in the North & Midlands . My next role was National Operations Manager of a vibrant, exciting family run business where I used my corporate skillset to pull core business together driving efficiencies, profitability & customer retention. In my next role, I again took on a challenge as National Delivery Manager of a large UK corporate company furthering my skillset through Projects & Project Management. Whilst working as National Delivery Manager I grew the profit margin considerably in my time with the business. Now in the General Manager role I work with my management teams, striving for commercial & customer excellence. Maintaining focus on the business being cash rich & thriving, whilst delivering a quality group of services to the end user. I have the engineering background for technical help and advice, as well as over 19 years at an operational management position. Providing accurate forecasts & successfully delivery to stakeholders as well as getting the best from my team using KPI's to measure individuals & business strategies to enhance performance & morale continually improving all outputs. I always work within the ethics, law and company policies, also training my team to work in the same way. I fully endorse & promote the importance of Environment, Health, Safety & Wellbeing. Delivering this to my teams by monthly meetings bulletins and Toolbox Talks.I have gained many qualifications during my time in the industry from technical & electrical certifications, to successfully completing the UTC Business ITO university Program & ACE Associate (Silver) at corporate level.
