Designer & Art DirectorDaperry.Com 1999 - Aug 2016London, United KingdomMany a month, many a year spent building up my own client base, consulting on larger projects and leading, or working within larger teams. The variety that freelancing afforded me was always well matched to a wide and varied skill set - feeding the eager child in me. Senior DesignerProvokateur 2008 - 2012London, United KingdomProvokateur was a charming little ethical communications agency with a very simple proposal: to only work for clients that it believes in. Within a core creative team that never expanded beyond 3 and a full head-count that tended to gravitate around the 7-8 mark, everyone got their hands dirty. As as integrated agency of small scale but mighty ambition, work was always multi-disciplinary and very few jobs were ever uninspiring.Branding, print, marketing, advertising and digital for… Show more Provokateur was a charming little ethical communications agency with a very simple proposal: to only work for clients that it believes in. Senior Designer4Creative / Channel 4 2005 - 2007London, United KingdomI loved 4Creative. They rocked (and still do) - much of the trappings of ‘big’ design and advertising, but without the excesses and egos getting in the way of their great work. A committed, long-term team took me in and taught me how to be a smarter, better designer. I was there on a long-term contract, working on branding, print advertising and marketing materials for Channel 4 and all it’s subsidiary activities: More4; E4; FilmFour; 4 Education; FourDocs; 4Radio. -
DesignerMinerva (Bbdo) 2003 - 2004London, United KingdomA long-term contract within the design team here gave me a taste of larger scale ‘industry’ before I left the UK for a year of travelling, volunteering and working overseas. Clients included, among others: Skittles; BAA; Deutsche Bank; Chrysler and General Electric. -
Designer / Art DirectorDartspace 2000 - 2003London, United KingdomAnd CWC Dart begat Dartspace with a conscious shift in focus away from fashion. I was one third of the creative team in this small Soho studio. A wide variety of work included retail, marketing and PR, public information and advertising.Clients included: Books Etc; Borders; the Central Office of Information; The Old Truman Brewery; The Workspace Group.

DesignerCwc Dart 1999 - 2000London, United KingdomThis was a natural progression from the single dedicated in-house role I’d had at Paperchase to becoming a more fully-rounded integrated designer at work within a small team. Fashion retail advertising was the key focus but there was plenty of opportunity to experience branding, web design and motion graphics. Clients included: Whistles; Dune, Principles; SU214

Head Of DesignPaperchase 1994 - 1998London, United KingdomAfter a successful internship during my second University year and a subsequent short period of freelance employment, I began this purpose-built role a week after my degree show. And there I stayed, reporting directly to the brand manager and the MD for the next 4 years. I cut my teeth designing marketing; POS; posters; advertising; packaging; creating illustration and surface design for cards and wrap and generally being responsible for the creative development of the Paperchase brand.
