This role entailed the building of NWR core and access nodes making sure that the quality is up to network rail approval and that the dead lines for Alan Dick UK are met safely and on time. Experience with the termination, running and installation of dc and ac power, cpcs ,cat5se cabling ,scada interface, mdf s5 e3, krone,fibre raceways and fibre optic cables also coaxial high and low order equipment SDH 1660,1650 , PDH 1511,1515,HDSL 1512 line runner equipment installation and termination. Installation of miscellaneous equipment such as Cisco Routers, Omni Access (vlan and balan),GPS and SSU equipment.In this role i taught and trained new personnel to use and install this equipment to a high standard and provided knowledge of the installations. As a tester of AC and DC power systems and Nortel S8000,S9000. Also undertook site based installations as a site leader, instructing and maintaining quality and safety while communicating with the customer, adhering to Network Rails high standards within specific timeframes. Some of the work entailed battery swap outs, which were mainly carried out under live conditions on the railway network adhering to safety standards at all times.
