The BPIF is the principal business support organisation representing the UK print, printed packaging and graphic communication industry. It's one of the country's leading trade associations.The Federation strive to ensure their members’ requirements come first. Through listening to their needs they have developed an unrivalled range of products and services that go well beyond those provided by a traditional trade association.They provide the highest standard of support for printers to grow and develop healthy, sustainable and profitable businesses, aiming to provide an environment geared towards their businesses success. The BPIF offer practical, value-adding solutions for all areas of a print organisation, ranging from Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality issues; with the implementation of HR requirements; provide resolutions of technical or legal issues; as well as advice and support on marketing, sales and finance. This is all delivered by individuals and teams of highly skilled and experienced print industry specialists.Objective:-To provide support to the 600+ existing BPIF Members throughout the Northern Region.To ensure that existing Members utilise their membership fully.To introduce existing Members to additional Products and Services available from the BPIF.To introduce new Members into the BPIF.To network and engage with Printers, Designers, Suppliers and all parties related to the wonderful world of Printed and Digital Communications.Region:-Northern Region – Yorkshire, Humberside, Durham, Tyne & Wear, North Wales, Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire.

“Informing, Enabling, Improving”The BOSS (British Office Supplies and Services) Federation is the authoritative body for the UK office products industry. We are a non-profit making organisation.BOSS represents all businesses along the distribution chain in the office products industry, covering stationery, office machines and supplies, office furniture, office systems and related product areas. We have a wide breadth of membership from the smallest retailer to the largest manufacturer, and therefore represent a very large part of the industry turnover.We have over 60 manufacturing members and over 1,000 dealer and reseller members from all of the major buying and marketing groups. Commercial contract stationers, mail order companies are also members. We also have a number of special associate members such as the industry's systems houses and the industry's trade press.All our members recognise that there are a huge number of areas where BOSS can bring positive advantages to their businesses.The structure of BOSS has evolved to front the demands of an ever-changing industry. Membership of BOSS is divided into two forums the Manufacturer's Forum and the Reseller and Distributor's Forum, which are governed by autonomous Committees reporting to the Federation's Executive Board. Having been with the company for over 28 years my role has changed and expanded enormously from my starting position of Printer. In 2006 there was a management buyout and I became Managing Director and main shareholder.Key Achievements• Increased Sales from £1.5m to £4.2m over a 5 year period.• Generation of business from single-source accounts of over £1.5m per annum.• Retention of 5 Major accounts for over 10 years.• Managed Teams of up to 50 people across 2 business units.• Identified, developed & trained key-staff into positions of Management and authority.• Final decision maker for £1.7m of investments over a 5 year period.• Introduction of new products & technology – e-commerce, digital print & logistics.• Formalisation from a family business to a commercial entity through training & development.• Led and managed accreditation to ISO9001, ISO1400 and FSC.• Created a Lean, focussed production site with clear and defined KPI’s throughout.
