I am an avid student and software engineer with a background in intelligence analysis. To better understand software engineering, I enrolled in a 1000+ hour, immersive software engineering course 'Operation Level-Up' by Galvanize and completed my education in July of 2023. In the course, I developed essential front-end and back-end skills:-Programming Language Fundamentals (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)-Web Development (React, Data Structures, Full-Stack Apps)-Software Engineering (Agile Development, Service-Oriented Architecture)-Problem Solving for an Outside Stakeholder (Unit and Integration Testing, Continuous Integration and Deployment, Professional-Quality GitHub Repos)Shortly after this course, I completed my 8th and final year in the U.S. Army as an All-source Intelligence Analyst, Paratrooper, and Sergeant (its almost as cool as it sounds). For the last 4 years I have been supporting the Special Forces in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Prior to this, I deployed to Baghdad, Iraq where I first discovered how satisfying it is to work in the intelligence community. I experienced that same satisfaction and curiosity when I started exploring the world of software development, and moving forward, I would like to bring my experience as an analyst and my skills as a software developer to my next organization as a veteran.In the past, my work and role as an analyst varied; I served as departmental intelligence subject matter expert (SME) to provide analysis, assessments, effective training, and recommendations on critical events and conflicts to key decision makers (departmental, divisional, and strategic), including 200 highly specialized military personnel.
