In this contract role within Apollo's innovation division, Apollo Lightspeed, I handled all WordPress development projects. In coordination with the Engineering Department, I developed a custom content management solution built on the WordPress framework that handled data syncing for their flagship product; SkilledUp.com. In this capacity, the WordPress installation was used to manage content creation while the site itself was powered by a Flask-based application.Examples of Duties:- Developed a REST API that managed synchronization of real-time content changes with the externally-hosted Flask application.- Built an error-reporting plugin that integrated with Loggly cloud log management service that allowed for real-time error handling- Resolved compatibility issues between installed plugins and WordPress version updates.- Documented project and technical specs for internal stakeholders.
