Goal-oriented Public Safety Professional with over 25 years of dedicated service, 23 of those years providing Patient Care within the field in emergency settings as well as hospital environments. Of those, 17 years have been with the Fire Service. As a firefighter initially at a small department, it was necessary to be cross trained in several positions; ambulance response, engine company operations, ladder company functions in addition to call taking and dispatch. As specialty training became available I have attained certifications in various areas and held a number of different titles. I accepted a job with a larger fire department twelve years later. With the larger depart came more specialties and opportunities. The training opportunities included technical rescue, confined space technician as well as hazmat technician and associated certifications and positions within the department’s task forces. I have attained experience in analyzing operations, establishing areas for improvement and creating project plans. I have become an outstanding communicator with the ability to champion projects to management and gain approval. Highly analytical and detail-oriented individual; adept at resolving issues and liaising with cross-functional groups to achieve objectives. Highly organized, committed and driven to excel. In the ever changing and ever advancing world of public safety I am now focused on intergrading practical experience with digital technologies that make advancements now possible to keep us progressive in our way of mitigating hazards and create an improved public safety environment.
