To develop new business and support current client base with a bespoke security package to ensure a high standard of security is provided.

To provide operational support to ensure a high level of security cover is maintained. To control access and egress from remotely monitored sites. To provide a key holding response to unauthorised alarm activations and to investigate and complete incident reports. Ensure team scheduling and rosters are confirmed and all sites covered. To liase with various clients and contractors about their security requirements.

Implemented a site audit program to ensure security contractors are fore filling their KPI requirements. Produced asset register documents per site to be checked against the onsite records the contractors have provided. To carry out a program of site visits and report any non-compliant issues with the security providers and liaise with site contacts reference any security related issues. Assist project managers with site visits to ensure all information required is collated. Assist the Head of Physical Security on any operational security issues that may arise.

Started with Mitie & Tupe tranfered to Chubb Security Personnel who were bought over by Securitas in April 2010 when the contract transferred to them. All the previous duties continued but the responsibilities increased. These included liaison with the Securitas National Accounts Manager & Operation Manager on ScottishPower projects relating to the man guarding & access control systems not just at Cathcart but across the ScottishPower contract. Liaison with outside contractors to carry out repairs / upgrades and maintenance on ScottishPower security systems providing alternative suggestions on the different security system that could enhance what we currently have. Providing demonstrations and briefings on behalf of the client of the 7 different operating platforms for CCTV, Intruder, Access Control & fire alarm which provide remote integrated security for 50 ScottishPower sites plus over another 50 monitored by a third party who reports back to Cathcart. Implemented, with ScottishPower, the nationwide access control system for over 100 sites increasing Cathcart core officers with 2 full time administrators. Providing CCTV evidence for police incidents ensuring ScottishPower process is followed correctly, authorisation obtained and paperwork is completed. More actively involved with Chairman’s visits providing VIP cover.

Duties – To ensure the smooth running of the hotels security department providing 24/7 security cover for guests and staff. Setup and developed the CCTV control room and alarm office to provide maximum coverage. Provide Duty Manager cover and deal with guest complaints. Training of new Duty Managers in fire and emergency procedure and disaster Management. Dealing with Health & Safety issues and fire prevention advice. Ensuring fire escapes are kept clear and fire records are kept up-to-date. Investigations of alleged thefts and other incidents. Preventing loss or damage to hotel property. Liaise with outside agencies for high profile visits and functions. Security of VIP residents during their stay at the hotel. Also responsible for event stewarding, supervision of the fire response team and first aid teams.

Duties – Providing catering support for senior officers, a member of first aid team, firefighting team, Radiation Decontamination Team and providing armed response for quick response teams and sentries to control access to and from H.M submarines and military establishments.
