Performs directional drilling services at the well site without supervision. • Plans, executes, and manages all phases of low-to-high complexity directional drillingjobs to deliver quality service that meets client expectations and company standards. • Provides technical support to clients and other company crew members at the well site. • Manages own personal development and maintains current competencies described in theQualifications section. • Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring lead, second, and trainee DDs. • Leads/manages any type of directional drilling job including side track, new drills,and re-entries. • Assists in pre-job planning (equipment and personnel) and mobilization. • Works diligently in the initiation, investigation and close out of Non-ConformanceReports. • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of all DD techniques and surveying methods required tocomplete injector, producer, S- wells, and horizontal wells. • Possesses expertise on advanced well planning using directional drilling software. • Assists clients by providing solutions for drilling issues. • Assists in the completion of End of Well Reports. • Acts as the SDI client focal point for drilling operations at the rig site. • Manages inventory and supplies required at the well site. • Maintains good communication with the client's well site representative, rig crew, andSDI field support staff. • Perform other relevant duties as required.

• Anticipate potential problems, pre plan and implement corrective action in a timelymanner thereby helping to ensure outcomes reach company goals for the drilling operations. • Work with the Rig Manager to assist with post analysis reviews of critical actions andimplement ongoing best practice activities for future operations. • Ensuring the safety of the drill crew and all support personnel working in and aboutthe drill floor. • Oversee proper rig up and rig down, continual preventive maintenance and repair ofthe equipment used in the drilling operations along with ensuring continual cleaning andhousekeeping in and about the drill floor. • Ensure drilling operations follow established plan. • Substitute for a Floor hand in the absence of a trained Floor hand. • Together with the Rig manager, continually train and develop employees working on thedrilling rig so as to meet the employee’s career goals while at the same time meeting theneeds of the company. • Responsible for monitoring the progress of the drilling operation, determine whenbits need to be changed while operating pumps, rotary table, draw-works and drill pipe. • Ability to operate rig utilizing rig controls while monitoring operation of variousequipment (pump pressures, weight indicator, drill string weight). • Knowledge of Drilling rig equipment capacity and functionality including but notlimited to Canrig Top Drives, accumulator units, draw works. • Adjust mud pumps to maintain the proper circulation rate. • Ability to perform basic math functions.

• Preventive maintenance and general repairs to the mud pumps and associated. • equipment including changing out the mud pump liners, as requested by the Driller orthe Mud Engineer. • Ensuring the chemicals and mud mixture (properties) is of sufficient type andquantity to meet the needs of the drilling operations. • Direct and supervise the Floor hand assigned to assist with the sack handling or theshakers. • Perform the general housekeeping, maintenance and upkeep of the equipment in thechemical / mud pits / mud pumps. • Assisting the Driller with raising and lower drill pipe in and out the hole duringtripping operations.

Perform regular rounds where I will look, listen and feel the equipment. •Anticipate problems that may occur and implement corrective action to prevent problemsfrom developing. When problems are found, analyze the problem area and problem solve /implement a solution to resolve the issue and keep the system operational. • Ensure that fuel and oil transfers are performed in a safe manner while complying withall state, federal and company rules and regulations as they pertain to this area of thedrilling industry. • Assist the Mechanic with major mechanical problems and repairs that he / she does nothave the expertise to complete. • Along with the Rig Manager and Driller, provide supervision and direction to the Floorhands and Derrickhand during rig up / down procedures. • Provide relief on the drill floor for the Floor hands, and when trained the Derrickhand and Driller. • Operate the forklift to offload / back load / relocate equipment, pipe, tubulars,casings, ect.

Operating of the tongs and slips to connect and dis-connect drill pipe, tubulars,casing and drill bits or tools. • Performing all maintenance of the equipment and physical space of the drill floor. • Rig up and down procedures, nipple up and down and care of the B.O.P. system • Monitoring and operation of the shakers. • Assisting the Derrick hand within the mud pit, mud pump and chemical sack rooms. • Performing housekeeping activities on the drill floor including washing, chipping andpainting. • Assist the Motorman with offloading / back loading supplies, equipment, pipe, etc.
