As an Individual Support and Service Plan Specialist (ISSPS), I:• Review Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) received from program consultants who work directly with frail elderly or physically disabled recipients. • Update and process ISPs information in the computer system and export to an Excel spreadsheet according to procedures, guidelines, timelines and other applicable parameters. • Partner with internal and external resources to facilitate communication and resolve issues.• Print approval letters or cost share letters for sponsoring agencies.• Analyze data to insure continued fundability and that funding allocation are correct.• Track timelines and milestones as document and report findings to appropriate parties.

This was the third time that I worked at WPS through ADTEC between regular employment. I review applications for insurance to make sure all the required information was included. If information was missing, I worked with co-workers to resolve the issues and then made the decision regarding coverage. Once coverage was secured, I prepared the packet of coverage information for the customer.

I answered phone calls from members and providers pertaining to Medicare, Medicaid and/or commercial insurance coverage and to complete prior authorizations. I also assisted member in locating providers and with billing questions and to arrange transportation for Medicaid inbound participants. When claims were rejected, I helped clinic accounts receivable personnel by explaining the reason for rejected claims and advised regarding proper coding.
