I am a biochemist and pharmacologist with experience in high-throughput screening, natural product chemistry, and lead molecule development. My most recent work focused on understanding the microbial diversity associated with the Australian stingless bee Tetragonula carbonaria, in order to identify potential bioactive compounds produced by these bacteria that may combat common honeybee diseases.

I had been working on isolating microbial symbionts of Australian stingless bee Tetragonula carbonaria, and isolate secondary metabolites produced by these microbes that are active inhibitors against honeybee diseases. We use an S1 organism, paenibacillus alvei, and lysinibacillus sphaericus for majority of the bioassays. The work involves various methods.
