Within my role as Security Support Supervisor i have at assist the Security Support Manager operationally and help manage the Security Services Team. I also Support the Profit Protection Department with security systems including CCTV, intruder and internal systems. Within my role i am the main point of contact for the clients ARC and will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining all security systems. I also assist with managing the security at my clients warehouse and distribution centre.

My role of is to work closely with the security project manager on various projects within the Scotmid Profit Protection department which will include supporting them using security various systems including CCTV, Intruder alarms, and Safe I. The role is also be the main point of contact for the Scotmid Alarm Monitoring Centre (ARC) and will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining all Society security systems. The role will also support stores with the ordering of security equipment and keys. This will be recorded as per Society policy.Under the direction and guidance of the security project manager, provide advice and project manage the implementation of the store, office and distribution centre installations including security systems, CCTV, access control and EAS systems, responsible for long term strategy, and delivering of key elements of the annual plan, providing expert advice in all aspects of projects and data fraud for the Profit Protection team,I also assist the Crime Prevention Manager in managing the societies Crime Prevention Team.Other Duties will include: • To investigate crime and anti-social behaviour by logging witness statements, reviewing CCTV and gathering evidence where required, reporting all findings to the Crime Prevention Manager or Intelligence Coordinator as appropriate. • To utilise all available intelligence to identify offenders and proactively target these individuals. • To liaise and develop relationships with external agencies, such as the Police, Local Authorities and voluntary groups involved with preventing crime and anti-social behaviour. • To ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Data Protection legislation.

Work in partnership with local police, local authorities and the community to improve the environment inside and outside the stores for the benefit of staff and customers. Gather intelligence on shoplifters that targeting our clients stores and passing it to an agency called RAC (retailers against crime).
