After an extensive twelve year career as an operational Fire-fighter/officer in the military crash rescue and urban fire environment, my career focus shifted to taking this valuable experience and applying it to technical fire engineering.I have five years regulatory design review experience and nine years fire engineering design experience of projects in health and hospital development, corrections, transportation infrastructure (tunnel and rail), stadia, commercial buildings (retail, warehousing and office), on shore petrochemical, construction, and food sectors. My roles have included job functions from Design Engineer, Senior (lead) Design Engineer, section and project team management.Specialties: Performance (and prescriptive) based fire engineering design, smoke control, fire systems, fire investigation, fire brigade intervention assessment, evacuation analysis, design review and verification.
