I am a Data Science graduate student at San Diego State University with a passion for medical applications and image processing. With a strong foundation in Relational database management and data analytics, I am committed to leverage data driven methods to improve clinical outcomes and support biomedical applications.I completed my bachelors degree at UCSC, majoring in Technology and Information Management (TIM), an engineering major combining technical knowledge with business management. My coursework has provided me with a strong background in the design and use of information systems and technology to solve business problems; and the management of technology, which includes product development, product management, and supply chain management.I am proficient in several programming languages including Java, C, Python, C++, pSQL and R. I am well versed in Data Structures, Abstract Data Types, Database Systems Management, Distributed Systems, Machine Learning Applications, Business Information Systems, Econometrics and principles of Macroeconomics. Of my experiences in college, I have learned most from opportunities to collaborate with people from different backgrounds. Opting to live in combined international-domestic student housing gave me the ability to interact and learn from with people with vastly different life experiences.Outside of my field of study I pursue creativity by practicing 2D & 3D digital art and playing musical instruments. I am interested in pursuing a career in Software Development and Data Science; in particular, applications in the bioinformatics and genomics field.
