Overseeing the administration of 500+ heterogeneous databases supporting Petabyte+ data distributed among various geographies across theglobe• Planing, organizing, directing, controlling and proactively monitoring the 24/7 database operations to support mission critical database serversfor financial applications in 24 different time zones connected with various card networks like VISA, MASTERCARD,DISCOVER,AMERICAN EX‑PRESS etc• Infrastructure designing, upgrading, administration and maintenance of redundant datacenters to ensure SLAs, high‑availability, automatedfail‑over, data‑consolidation, distributed‑availability and load balancing• Enhances the effectiveness of existing database tools and services and help building the structure and design of the database• Planning, developing strategies and executing LIVE workflow migration of mission critical database services• Building test versions, performing bug testing, conducting diagnostic tests, and evaluating performance metrics• Involvement and coordination with internal/external auditors for successful compliance of industries standard information security audits andcompliance processes (i.e. PCI,3DS, SSAE16/SAS70,ISO 22301,ISO 27001 etc• Involvement in decision making about infrastructure enhancement, storage media selection, capacity planning and relevant costing/budgeting• Hiring, supervising, and monitoring the cross‑functional database engineering teams• Conducting training, refreshers and rehearsals on DC failover, switchover and migration

Overseeing the administration of the heterogeneous databases and developing long-term corporate strategy for data storage. Leading architecture discussions around design, data integration, database migrations, recoverability, resiliency, capacity planning and availability. Ensuring proactive state of the art monitoring of all database services across the production and development environments Defining logical database structure for mission critical financial applications based on the organizational structure of the company Defining and executing procedures for testing and implementing new applications in the database environment. Ensuring projects and department milestones are met on time and within budgetDesigning the SOPs to meet service level agreements for data timeliness and frequencyLeading the diagnosis of database-related issues and serve as subject matter expertAssessing current and projected database performance, recommending changes/enhancementsProviding leadership in supporting production database environments (7x24) including designingg, installing, patching, tuning, maintaining and upgrading heterogeneous databasesEvaluating and recommending new database softwares, utilities and tools to set the strategy for implementing new technologies. Recruiting interviews, hiring and training new staff in the department and overseeing the daily workflow of the department and provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
