The information portal datacentre.me was launched in December 2011. The site still hosts a free online directory, news page, reports, white papers, case studies and a host of other useful information.In September 2013 the business expanded by launching a series of high level networking events aimed at senior management within the data centre sector. These events were designed specifically for decision makers and influencers within end user / buyer / specifier organisations and are by invitation only. The now infamous quarterly networking evenings are free of charge to attend and, prior to COVID-19, were held in central London on a quarterly basis. The team has ventured out of the UK with a few very well-received events in Dublin. :-) Additionally, since 2016 the DCME team have been running a hugely successful annual charity Christmas party for the industry, having raised well over £10,000 to date for worthy charities including The Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK, Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, Marie Curie, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and MacMillan.2020 proved extremely challenging to everyone as COVID-19 put paid to the DCME face to face events for 18 months or so, during which time Ruth, Nikki and Caroline decided to adapt and host some fantastic virtual conference and exhibitions instead.Since the return to face-to-face events DCME evenings continue to be well respected and very well attended.
