Croft Kitchen was a small events caterer based in Weobley, Herefordshire. Using local, sustainable suppliers and ingredients as much as possible, Croft Kitchen provided food for any occasion including parties, events, picnics, wakes, meetings and dinner parties.I took care of event organisation including arranging parties, business conferences, picnics and corporate lunches.

Working with the Hereford BID team to promote Hereford as a destination, to attract shoppers and businesses. Short-term contract to implement new vision and procedure for the BID Board.

Within my marketing and comms role I work as part of the senior management team, I am responsible for business communication both internally with employees and externally through our B2B marketing strategy. I am responsible for developing branding messages, strategy and structure, collaborating with central head office and senior stakeholders. I have strong interpersonal communication skills and have a professional and amiable manner. I am aware of how tone, expression and delivery impacts different audiences and change language and delivery to suit.I write and publish the social media posts for the UK and develop and contribute to the global social media posts on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. l communicate key messages to the public via digital press releases as well as physical print media, face to face events and press.A key part of my marketing strategy is to continue to grow and maintain a database of segmented contacts for the business and to create targeted mailings via Mailchimp and direct email campaigns. I review response rates and engagement with campaigns to deliver insight and provide ideas for future improvement.I particularly enjoy the planning and delivery of successful events such as product launches and training sessions. Larger, more challenging events such as trade shows and exhibitions require greater collaboration and organisation, arranging delivery of content and direct engagement customers and contemporaries.I am responsible for my own workflow and manage my time effectively to successfully deliver business requirements.Further duties within my current role are more traditional ‘PA’ duties, including note taking at meetings, delivering minutes and follow-up actions, arranging appointments and diary management, record keeping and filing, identifying and following up valued enquiries.

As Credit Controller I managed some of our more complex customers. Ensuring terms were adhered to and payments were received in full and in due time were part of my KPI’s in this role.During my Credit Control role I dealt with a broad spectrum of people, both internal and external. I was able to maintain a good working relationship with customers, ensuring the best possible terms for our company without jeopardising future business.

I delivered a high level of customer service care and developed and sustained relationships with many prestigious clients. Dealing with documents, proofing and amending copy, to ensure quality work a good eye for detail and accuracy was essential. I co-ordinated multiple concurrent projects with in-house studio designers, print floor and distribution to ensure completion and on time delivery of programmes which met the clients specifications. My role thus required effective time-management as well as excellent written and verbal skills.In my role as Training Officer I was a mentor to new recruits. I also delivered peer-training within a more formal structure by introducing various new systems, such as training and evaluation files developed by myself, alongside an appraisal system to ensure that these were effectively used and kept up-to-date.

Duties involved data-handling, reporting daily sales figures and delivery times. I was required to solve problems as and when they occurred. I also trained to input sales returns and run invoicing programmes using specialised software as well as Microsoft Applications.
