Lead developer of project that is now Apache NiFi. Responsible for architecting and developing highly scalable, clustered dataflow application that is globally distributed across hundreds of instances. The application handles volumes typically in the range of tens of millions of data elements and several terabytes of data per node per day, with peak rates greatly exceeding this data rate, while providing complete data provenance detailing every event that occurs to each element. Design requirements include the ability for users to perform live manipulation of the dataflow without redeployment as well as vertical and horizontal scaling of the application.
