I am a fourth-year PharmD student at University of Toronto, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, with 2 years of undergraduate education in biomedical sciences at York University. I have been granted an opportunity to learn and expand my knowledge about the general field of pharmacy through the institution, but I am especially eager to explore and pursue a career in the pharmaceuticals or community pharmacy. Although both these fields of pharmacy are quite different from each other, I believe that my strengths can certainly be a great addition to either, and I am very passionate to delve in.Currently, I am a pharmacy student at Rexall where I take responsibilities to organize and fill prescription drugs under the supervision of the attending pharmacist. Moving on to fourth-year, I have been actively participating in patient counselling, Medchecks, and injections. This endeavour offers me a great opportunity to gain hands-on pharmacy experiences, concurrently allowing me to learn more from experienced pharmacists and assistants. Apart from work-experience at Rexall, I was able to experience variety of different pharmacy softwares such as Propel, Delta, Healthwatch, Fillware, and Kroll through EPE and APPE program provided by LDFP. I am a firm believer that there are always room for improvements and growth, however, I do feel very comfortable with all of the listed softwares and maximizing it’s features. As of 2024-2025, I am more than grateful to experience many different subfields of pharmacy such as hospital pharmacy and pharmaceuticals through the APPE program, and I hope to expand my knowledge in both direct-patient-care (DPC) and non-direct-patient-care (NDPC). My strong work ethics and experiences in many different fields are a true testament to my character and demonstrates the great potential in me. I am passionate and focused to perpetually improve myself as a student and a pharmacist by putting in the maximum effort in every opportunity I receive. As much as I am grateful for the opportunities I have at the moment, I am ambitious to seek for more and overcome my capabilities.
