I was employed as the only Electronic Design Engineer within the company, and therefore I was required to work with external client’s to take their initial ideas and turn them into concept models, both physically and as 3D CAD virtual models. Once agreed in principle I then produced designs, prototypes and arranged for pre-production units to be built either by myself or manufactured locally. Finally, after any minor revisions were made, I oversaw the low to medium volume production both locally or overseas for each product.
