Since joining Shell UK in 1973 I have set myself the personal goal to gain as broad an experience as possible in the Oil & Gas Industry. To date this includes 30 years overseas experience in various locations in the Middle & Far East, North & West Africa, CIS as well as several years in the UK N Sea sector. I have successfully generated, personally lead and encouraged at all levels a culture of safe operating practices and standards amongst employees and contractors, and where necessary have helped to plan, formulate, and deliver all types of Installation, Commissioning, O&M, HSE Procedures and Guidelines. I have an extensive Production based background which has helped me to develop a broad base of experience in Hook-up, Installation & Commissioning activities, as well as the day to day operation’s of oil and gas fields, from Upstream Early Production Systems both on and offshore, on fixed platforms as well as complex FPSO’s, Refinery Process, Storage and Distribution Systems through to Crude & Product Terminal OperationsI feel that I have achieved a mature reasoned presence with a proven ability that demonstrates my considerable drive, initiative and leadership qualities. I have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, as well as being capable and adaptable at building strong working relationships with Local & National Government authorities, organizations, companies and individuals of both ex-patriot and ethnic origin.
