At age 17, I joined the US Army as a reservist, and went to Basic Training the summer before High School senior year, and Occupational training (AIT) the summer after graduation. I was trained for the 77F, Petroleum Supply Specialist MOS. In training we learned all about transport, filtering and dispensing all types of fuels for combat vehicles.Most importantly my time in the military showed me a larger view of the world, and the importance of being loyal to a team, putting your heart into what you are working on. In my 8 years in the army, I was never deployed into combat, but climbed to an E-4 rank of Specialist (just below Sergeant).
