Responsibilities included: engine removal planning, financial forecasting and budget preparation; lease and entry to service technical reviews and contract negotiations; EMP definition; shop visit management; engine condition monitoring, fleet reliability program management.o Provision of fleet management services to aero-engine owners including delivery of powerplant engineering management services to a US-based aircraft leasing company. Responsible for all off wing engine maintenance management, removal planning and forecasting, financial modeling and reliability programme management for the leased CFM56-3, RB211-535E4, CF6-80 and CFM56NG fleets;o Conducting numerous aero-engine delivery, mid-lease and re-delivery inspections for aero-engine owners and operators on a variety of engine types, the scopes of which included: engine external condition inspections; borescope overview inspections; performance test overviews; engine records inspections; identification of critical findings and actions requiring resolution prior to acceptance of the engine(s); o Delivery of high level consultancy services to aero-engine operators, including a large project to review the historical maintenance carried out on a newly acquired fleet of leased JT8D-217 and JT8D-219 aero-engines for a start-up French airline. In particular, to review actual removal rates and reasons, compare with industry averages and norms and deliver a maintenance cash flow forecast to their senior managers;o Pursuance of aero-engine related insurance claims, including maximization of an engine failure related claim that was instrumental in allowing the developing UK-based airline to avoid bankruptcy.
