As a member of the Business Services team I'm responsible for creating ETL processes that extract HR data from OneUniversity (cloud-based HRP system) that is then used by downstream systems. I work closely with members of the team to ensure the complex requirements are met. I'm also responsible for troubleshooting these ETL processes and related processes.Previously as a member of the technical team in the Business Transformation programme I was responsible for migrating HR and Payroll data from an Oracle database to TechnologyOne - OneUniversity (cloud-based system). This involved writing SQL to extract and transform Oracle data, staging it on SQL Server and populating import templates for importing the data in OneUniversity. Now the data is in the system, I work on ETLs to get data out of the system.

Deliver successful projects by working closely with clients to ensure I understand their requirements and expectations. I provide and request constant feedback during the project delivery to ensure that what we're implementing meets the client's needs. The constant feedback allows us to make adjustments along the way so there are no surprises.

Provided a stable IT environment so users in our local and four remote offices could communicate and collaborate effectively and reliably. This involved traveling to offices in Brazil, Australia, South Africa and England to migrate domain controllers and file servers to new server hardware and latest Windows Operating System. Continually improved the services we provided by upgrading server software, such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, firewall software, and the IBM BladeCenters. When we moved offices I planned and managed all aspects of the move, worked with the Operations Manager to ensure zero time lost with no technical issues.Saved the company money by negotiating good deals with vendors.• Setup and maintained LAN and WAN infrastructure.• Managed Windows forest, domains and server.• Managed Active Directory, DHCP and DNS.• Managed Checkpoint Firewalls and VPNs.• Deployed and managed Microsoft Exchange Server.• Deployed and managed VMWare ESX Servers.• Managed relationships with vendors.• Negotiated with vendors.• Setup servers hosted in cloud environments, such as Rackspace.

My services provided stability to IT environments so my clients could spend more time working and less time trying to overcome tedious IT support issues. My IT solutions, such as network, domain, file and email servers allowed my clients to more easily control and administer their environments.

Lead a team in providing IT consulting services. We designed solutions for small businesses so they could communicate more professionally through email, share files more effectively and efficiency, centrally manage user accounts, and feel confident that their data is secure from threats and recoverable when required.• Consulted on IT solutions, which included setting up networks, Windows domains, file servers, emails servers and firewalls.• Responsible for the uptime of network and servers.• Responsible for the setup and maintenance of web servers and DNS servers that hosted client websites and DNS domains.

Provided centralized email and VOIP communication, and file sharing through a VPN, which created efficiencies in communication and information sharing. In one year, I transformed how the offices collaborated.• Designed and implemented a VPN connecting the England, Ireland and Toronto offices using Checkpoint.• Designed and implemented the LAN of each office and WAN connectivity.• Setup and maintained the Checkpoint firewall at each office.• Designed and implemented domain trusts between the offices, which enabled seamless file sharing.• Deployed their first centralized email server using Microsoft Exchange.
