The Canadian Ski Council is an alliance of ski area operators, instructors, coaches, racers, retailers, patrollers, and gear manufacturers represented from all provinces of Canada.Was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Ski Council in 2000, held position as director, treasurer, Vice Chair and served two consecutive two year terms as Chairman of the Board from 2005 to 2009.During this term I also sat on several other Industry related committees and associations such as Canadian Ski Area Operators Association, Selkirk College British Columbia - Ski Area Advisory Council member, Canadian Ski Council Futures Committee.

Started my career with Kamiskotia Snow Resort as Outside Operation Manager and was promoted to General Manager in 1984.Was responsible for directing, coordinating, planning and development of all business ventures and had total responsibility for all correspondence, financial and legal matters pertaining to the corporation. Directed and managed all departments within the organization including: Administration/Finance, Human Resources, Maintenance / Outside Operations, Food and Beverage Operations, Marketing, Ski School, Rental Shop, Sales, Risk Management/Safety, Property Management. Ensured compliance with the Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety acts. Spearheaded, directed and managed all major resort development projects. Maintained Resorts Viability through challenging economic periods with creative financial planning and management. Provided ongoing support, training and direct supervision to a team of 85+ employees.Retired from the resort in 2008 to look for new life challenges.

Represents the Interests of Ontario Ski Resort.Held positions of director, Vice Chair, and Chairman of the Board. Held position of Chair for three consecutive two year terms.
