New Build Submarine Weapon Handling and Launch System (WHLS) Deputy Technical Manager:- Deputy Lead Engineer on a programme worth approx. £100M- Responsible for the Technical Support contract worth approx. £500k/year- Achieved 100% customer milestone adherence on monthly report deliverables- Responsible for checking and approval of engineering design and documentation - Responsible for developing and guiding junior members of the engineering team- Developed the engineering team through defining a new structure and recruiting new team members- Developed improved metrics, prioritisation systems and reporting methods on the programme

- Trials engineer for the SCB Technology Demonstrator Programme (TDP) prototype sea trial- Planned and carried out setting to work of the SCB equipment- Defined trials procedures and run-plans, reviewed and provided input to the trials plan - Liaised with the submarine crew and other key stakeholders to negotiate trials scope and timeslots- Performed the trial, making key trial decisions and recording observations

Submarine Weapon Handling and Launch System (WHLS) Requirements Manager:- Responsible for requirements management on a new build submarine WHLS project (worth approx. £130M) - Achieved 100% milestone adherence on customer deliverables- Originated the requirements and acceptance management plan for the project - Implemented a new software tool (IBM DOORS) to be used for requirements management at Babcock- Managed the requirements process by defining system and sub-system specifications and progressing requirements acceptance (verification and validation) with the customer and sub-system teams - Developed a requirements team from one member to a peak of eight , defined roles and responsibilities and drove the recruitment of new team members- Managed a team of eight with a number of direct reports plus supporting staff- Supervised the team in developing an internal IBM DOORS training course - Responsible for all technical requirements queries from both internal stakeholders and the customer- Responsible for checking and approving requirements documentation and DOORS modulesAdditional Responsibilities:- Developed and delivered graduate and apprentice report writing training programmes
